Welcome to kind, gentle, no-judgment support

Literary Chaplaincy is about providing a kind ear when you need it. It’s not therapy — it’s non-denominational support through literature. Everyone is welcome here.

What’s it all about?

Literary chaplaincy puts our lives in conversation with the books we love to help us understand ourselves and the stories that shape us.

Literary chaplaincy is inspired by traditional chaplaincy, but with the use of secular texts, not religious ones. We take the stories already at the center of your life and, through rigor and intention, help you discover their power to guide you as personal sacred texts.

What’s on offer?

Testimonials

“Literary chaplaincy gave me full permission to love a story I already love, and be moved by the words that wanted to move me, helping me to reinvigorate my connection to my inner self.”

— K.D.

“The chaplain creates such a beautiful space for cultivating self-awareness, providing much wisdom and allowing me to uncover my wisdom too through the practice of sacred reading. She approached each session with such a care and presence. Do it! is the advice I give to anyone considering chaplaincy.”
